The Pinglin Pouchong Story

Pinglin sits in the misty mountains just outside Taipei, where abundant rainfall and cool humidity create the perfect conditions for delicate tea. At 400–800 meters, the region's clean air and mineral-rich soil produce oolongs unlike anywhere else — light, fragrant, and impossibly smooth. Our tea comes from the Bai family, who have tended these fields for three generations. The leaves are hand-picked and barely oxidized, preserving the tea's signature floral character. Traditional methods, sustainable farming, small batches only — the way the Bais have always done it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Use 8g of leaves per 300ml of water at 85°C. Steep for 4 minutes. The leaves open gently — you'll get 3-4 beautiful infusions.
Pouchong is barely oxidized — only 8-12%, compared to 30-40% for most oolongs. This preserves the delicate floral aromatics and keeps the body silky and light.
It bridges the gap. Pouchong has green tea's lightness but oolong's complexity. If you love green tea but want more fragrance and sweetness, this is your next step.
Location. Pinglin sits in misty mountains with abundant rainfall, high humidity, and mineral-rich soil. The microclimate produces teas with exceptional fragrance you can't replicate elsewhere.
Absolutely — and it's stunning cold. Use 8g per 500ml, refrigerate 8-12 hours. The floral notes intensify and it becomes incredibly refreshing.
Less than most oolongs due to minimal oxidation. It's gentle enough for late afternoon without disrupting sleep.
